Spanking in art

Believe it or not, every now and then I find myself embarrassed by having something of a spanking fetish, even though over the years, particularly in conversation with men of a previous generation, I’ve often been the person offering re- assurance that they are by no means  alone. Certainly a quick check on the internet produces a flood of material that would not be there if there was not a big audience out there panting for more.

 

But leaving aside cyber space, it doesn’t  take long to see that the interest is widespread and in particular artists (a randy lot the whole lot of them,  said she as an amateur stone carver ) have been quietly obsessed with it for years.

 

 

 

Here is a small sample of  early paintings showing  that delight in giving a young pretty bottom a good spanking goes back a good long way, and I suspect that many  of the artists responsible not merely copulated with their models at suitable intervals, but also took lascivious pleasure in punishing them as well when the urge  became too much to control.

 

Paintings and drawings do tend to have  a visceral immediacy that brings out the sexual implications of what is happening with a clarity that is not always there in photographs. It’s a reasonable assumption that a man who paints young naked females is rather partial to young naked females, and equally that if he chooses to depict them being inverted and chastised,  he is partial to that as well.

 

 

The artist may not literally mix his own sperm with the paint, but in effect it has made its presence known in the finished work. (An artist friend of mine mixes her own menstrual blood with the paint to give a personal touch to her work!)

 

With cartoons and illustrations we seem to get an even hornier take on things sexual. Stripping images down to basics often means that it’s hard for the artist to hide that whatever is there on the paper got him or her wonderfully aroused when producing it.

 

 

 

A cartoon is like an adolescent’s obscene drawing on a wall, a demonstration that he has an urgent need to communicate his lustful urges in some simple and crude way.  I often use cartoons in my blog as they are so easy to manipulate and for me to add my own captions, even if that might well mean giving away my own urges and inclinations.

 

 

For example I mucked about with the following two cartoons to give a micro narrative ,  i.e. ,what are those  bare bottomed minxes so concerned about? Oh yes, they are about to   discover the penalty for being so naughty!

 

 

 

 

  

 

I’ll leave you with an image sent to me by my regular correspondent  James for which I’m very grateful.  It’s ambiguous in that it is hard to tell if the recipient of the punishment being meted out by the nipple thrusting tormentor is a young wench or a page boy. Whichever it is, note that an inquisitive hand is checking to see what state  of arousal has been reached!
